You know that Shryl was just a breath of fresh air. It was Shryl and her story that has changed my perception of Fatz Cafe. Imagine if we could find champions like Shryl in every organization and put them in a position to bring that breath of fresh air to every person that walks thru that door. It is more than customer service, it is truly paying attention to detail and treating some (your customers) as you would want to be treated.

I think of the time I time I went to Firestone and the person remembered my name and paid attention to the little details that would bring me back to Firestone. Here is the post I wrote about Firestone and my experience.

This shows that some people still understand what it takes to really be a value by going the extra yard. At one time this was the norm, sadly today it could be said this is not normal.

Setting yourself apart by going the extra mile will lead to great things. It does not matter what your profession. You will stand out from the crowd.

Often I worry about the future of America and the world. Then I see or hear about someone that does a good job, that goes the extra mile. Is it pride in knowing they are doing a great job? Is it something deeper?

All I know is I appreciate people that still know what true customer service is. In a day and age of faceless uncaring customer service that can only be reached after an endless amount of time on hold and punching your account number in several times, it is refreshing!
